Sambili Residents Happily Welcomed Habema’s Social Communication

NKRIPOST SUGAPA – One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Intan Jaya Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Sunday, 19 January 2025, the 509 Patrol Team, primarily the Holomama Post led by First Lieutenant Wanianto, visited Sambili Village, Sugapa District, and conducted Social Communication (Komsos) during the areal protection activities.
Emphasizing the pivotal role of the community, the Commander of the 509 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, stressed the importance of the Task Forces’ focus on the community’s fundamental needs in the assigned area. Therefore, on Sunday, the Soldiers took advantage of their task by conducting social communication with the Sambili residents. By performing the communication, the Soldiers learned about developing security conditions and difficulties the residents had.
By prioritizing security during activities, harmonious interactions between TNI Soldiers and residents have resulted in a close relationship between the two parties. To increase familiarity, the Soldiers invited the residents to communicate and share short conversations about security updates and regional developments. The community members were very enthusiastic about welcoming the presence of the 509 Task Forces. One of them, Mr Antoni Mujizau, said, “Praise God, thank you for being here in Sambili, Commander 509. God bless.”
